Where Were You Born?
Born in the USA. Bruce Springsteen fans know this track, if they know no other. It was so popular, at one point, that the hit track probably could have been considered the social patriot’s anthem. Did you know Bruce Springsteen was nicknamed “The Boss.” That was in 1984, things were a lot different then. Not perfect of course...there was the prevalence of “Sex, Drugs, and Rock&Roll;” but, generally speaking, a lot more peaceful, no COVID-19 before and after, and a general – fun loving – kind of era. This is 2024 and a lot has changed.
The public aspirations, in general, have wildly shifted towards millionaire goals and McMansions for everyone. Hey, that is not a bad idea – if your skills and talents can pay for a millionaire lifestyle. Conversely, today, in 2024 skills and talents are irrelevant; so too is being born in the USA.
The USA has always had a passion towards foreign born labor dating back as far as the Rockefeller railroad days if not before. The love affair with foreign born citizens and labor is hardly about a skills gap or a labor shortage. The foreign born love affair is about stabilizing (and increasing) the wealth gap to ensure it stays that way...a wide gap not possible to close. So to make this a reality it has always been about displacing domestic labor (without cause) and back-filling with the lower aspirations of foreign labor which can be kept under the thumb of government via its large corporate sponsor base.
Today, in 2024 the foreign born labor love affair has taken on new heights. In fact, if you are a foreigner (born, illegal -- whatever) in the USA you are far more likely to be successful and receive all the government-private sector support you need in the process. Say it aint so! Oh it is definitely so. Ever heard of Elon Musk the great, who bought Twitter for billions, transformed its name to “X” and now engages in free speech censorship? Well guess what? Mr. Musk is a foreign born (South Africa) billionaire that apparently was engaging in business ventures in 2004 while sitting in the USA illegally.
Quote:
“[O]ne of Donald Trump’s biggest donors and campaign surrogates, South African-born Elon Musk worked illegally in the United States as he launched his entrepreneurial career after ditching a graduate studies program in California.” The Washington Post.
Foreigner Knows Best
Wow. It pays to be a foreigner in the USA; to work illegally; and to ditch graduate school...to go on and become a billionaire, shortly thereafter. This sounds a bit similar to Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Mr. Gates was born in the USA but ditched college to start up Microsoft and to, also, become a billionaire. What school did Mr. Gates ditch? Harvard University. Back then Harvard was ivy league school #1. In any event, Bill Gates is a very talented guy and Microsoft Windows changed computing forever.
Which one of these billionaires ran a law firm out of his home on a shoestring budget? Which one of these billionaires founded three (3) start-ups with nothing but the money in his pocket -- the concept for one of which, later went on to become the top online recruiting model i.e. Monster.com? Which one of these billionaires, has had to fight the government for transparency, accountability, and to pay the millions it owes, while fighting against social revolution groups (such as Woke) in support of the government? Which one of these billionaires actually finished graduate school with a MBA (3.4 GPA without breaking a sweat and employed in a full time professional career capacity)? And to top it off, do you think either of these billionaires actually had to rely on welfare to eat? Fat chance.
The most recognizable difference between these two billionaires, and others with like talents and ability, is a significant difference in skin tone/color; access to capital; and the support that generally comes with the significant difference in skin tone/color in their favor. A white male can simply have an idea, be given a stage, proclaim untold returns -- and for sure an outpouring of cash follows. That is what happened with FTX crypto king Sam Bankman-Fried. Did it not? And surely having “Bank” embedded in his name helped. And what about WeWork founder Adam Neumann? If memory serves correct, did WeWork not go belly up after losing billions? And it looks like he is, now, rewarded with another batch of billions to see if he can do better. It pays to be White. This is the reality of the USA which it can no longer dismiss nor can it any longer conceal from the public. Perhaps much of the social problems of the USA is per its own doing and its ill will. In short, born in the USA mattered much more then, than it does now. It is, now, more like “Not Born in the USA,” so success is imminent. Perhaps that is why all the migrants by the hundreds of thousands have entered the USA (illegally) and continue to do so.
Perhaps a case study would help facilitate this theory. Like say “x” (no pun intended) number of born in usa individuals relocate to a foreign country and see how much support they get there. As weird as it sounds, it might actually work as a win-win scenario, in a far more healthier actual sovereign.
