The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) is one enacted by federal statute 702, which authorizes surveillance of non-U.S. persons located outside the United States. The House Committee on the Judiciary has known about widespread abuses of this surveillance (spying) statute by the FBI since at least 2021, yet the problem persists today in 2026.
Since at least December 2, 2021, the USA House Committee on the Judiciary has known about persistent widespread abuses of its so-called “702 FISA PRISM ACT” by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. That reality cannot be denied. Notwithstanding the same, the widespread abuses by the Federal Bureau of Investigation persist.
702 FISA PRISM is a set of acronyms used to mask the objective of the statute e.g. unilateral spying on individuals outside the USA – without a warrant. The problem is so bad with the Federal Bureau of Investigation that such spying abuses have routinely occurred and continue to occur inside the USA against U.S. persons. So for all the talk of the House Committee on the Judiciary, the problem with these abuses remain ongoing in 2026. And where the abuses cross over into other countries, this transforms into criminal international espionage (spying). The House Committee on the Judiciary, again, knows this behavior is ongoing more than four (4) years later.
Quotes:
"In November 2020, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) issued a memorandum opinion and order finding that the FBI had committed "apparent widespread violations” of privacy rules in conducting surveillance under section 702 of FISA.” See document(s).
“[T]he FBI maintains sloppy oversight of its use of warrantless spying authorities. At worst, it suggests the FBI holds a cavalier disregard for the fundamental protections enshrined in the Bill of Rights.” See document(s).
This is coming directly out of the mouth of then FBI Director Wray. These criminal abuses continue in North America and in particular Canada, which assumes the ostrich position, thereby permitting the Federal Bureau of Investigation to do whatever it wants. Canada then turns around and misleads the public with statements alleging that FBI spying activity does not occur in Canada, and is only a fiction of imagination. See document(s).
